I’m Mattie.
And in March, 2024, I launched Mattie Russell Coaching & PT with a simple objective:
To help every day Men and Women become and feel stronger than ever despite believing that they can’t.
You’ll find five things I believe in below. If you resonate with them, we’ll probably get along!
- I love helping people—especially when it comes to getting really bloody strong!
- I value real conversations, sharing knowledge, and building solid connections.
- A strong mind builds a strong body, and vice versa.
- You don’t need to live in the gym to achieve your goals.
- Fitness should be fun! If you’re not enjoying it, something’s missing.
Sound like we’ll get along? Great. I’ve got so much to share with you.
A quickie on who I am so you know how I can be most helpful to you.
Born in the UK, grew up around Europe. Grew up loving Martial Arts, Rugby, and Video Games. I did a bit of everything.
Used to be a Policeman in the Royal Navy.
Then I got diagnosed with Anxiety and PTSD.
But I faced my challenges, went to therapy, left the military, and decided to try and help others in a way I was really passionate about.
Which basically means every day I wake up and help every day men and women make progress towards becoming and feeling the strongest versions of themselves.
Just like:
- Emma, a Mum who was recently diagnosed with MS, was able to feel stronger than ever, lift weights which she has never lifted before and move with more stability and confidence.
- Kam, a recent graduate from Cambridge Uni, who was a complete gym newbie and had never done any weight training before, managed to deadlift over 100kg, do his first pull-up, and have the confidence to walk into any gym and SMASH a workout.
- Lisa, a busy mum and child minder, was able to build some strength into her legs and move with purpose again, where she could finally feel super-duper strong, whilst losing weight.
- Callum, a young guy who was neuro-divergent has been able to learn how to lift safely and comfortably in an environment that benefits him and hit some INCREDIBLE strength stats.
- Laura, a busy Mum of 2 and full time researcher at Addenbrookes has finally built enough strength in her knees to no longer feel pain, lift 110kg, and get a really SOLID weekly program in place that works with her busy schedule.
Well, now you're all caught up. And thank you for your time btw.
I'll make sure to make it worth it :)
Mattie.
P.S. Before you crack on with your day, can you fire me a WhatsApp message by the button below and let me know how your health and fitness journey is going at the mo?
It gives me insight on how to be most helpful to you.
It could literally be a one-sentence reply or a full story. I'll read it regardless.
